협력 강화 뜻 담은 친서 전달 예정

[파이낸셜뉴스] 윤석열 대통령이 베르나르도 아레발로 과테말라 신임 대통령 취임식에 경축특사를 파견한다.
10일 대통령실에 따르면 윤 대통령은 오는 14일 예정된 대통령 취임식에 한-과테말라 의원친선협회장인 김정재 국민의힘 의원을 특사로 파견키로 했다.
윤 대통령은 특사를 통해 과테말라 신임 대통령에 축하 인사를 전하고 협력관계 강화를 위한 협력을 바란다는 뜻을 담은 친서를 전달할 예정이다.
특사는 취임식 이후에는 과테말라 신정부 고위인사들과 면담을 갖고, 동포 단체장 간담회와 동포들이 운영하는 기업을 방문하는 등의 일정을 소화한다.
과테말라는 중미 지역 우방국으로, 6000명의 재외국민이 거주하고 160여개 우리 기업이 진출한 곳이다.
